Raid — At the beginning of your end step, if you attacked this turn, create a 1/1 red Goblin creature token.
This seemingly simple ability puts it into the same league as Mogg War Marshall which has been a staple in goblin decks for years. You can strategically cast this on turn two after attacking to still get the raid trigger at the end of turn.
While comparable to Mogg War Marshall they each have their own pros and cons. MWM is a guaranteed three 1/1s bodies for two mana while a well timed removal spell could prevent Searslicer from ever producing a token. On the flip side there is no limit to how many 1/1s Searslicer could poop out over the course of a game if not dealt with, plus it's a 2/1 itself which means it can trade with more threats than a MWM could
Next let's take a look at the different versions we have been blessed with
"But hey, every time her throat gets cut, a Searslicer lives!"
"Searslicer does seem like a good upgrade alongside raise to that deck"
"I actually think searslicer goblin is worth more exploration because the play patterns are interesting."
"SEARSLICER IS SUPER MWM (in Legacy)"
